
The Federal Government Announces this afternoon that it’s
likely for school to resume on the 4th of August 2020 and the exit
classes. The resumption date was announced by The Federal Ministry Of Education
through a Press statement and was signed by its Director Ben Goong for press
and public relations.
It was announced after the meeting between the Federal
Ministry Of Education, Honourable Communication Of Education of the 36 state, The
Union Of Teachers (NUT), The Proprietors Of Private Schools and Chief Executive
Of Examination Bodies.
The meeting come to an end with the aim of school resuming
on the exit classes on 4th of August, 2020 to enable them prepare for WAEC examination scheduled to
commence from on the 17th of August, 2020 and also conclude on
having another meeting tomorrow between The Federal Ministry Of Education and CHIEF
EXECUTIVES OF EXAMINATION BODIES namely, NECO, NABTES and NBAIS to coordinate
their examination dates, which will be pass on to stakeholders with speed and
efficiency by The Federal Ministry Of Education.
And was also announced by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu
that both Public and Private schools will resume on August 3rd,
2020, after being shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic for over 3 months.
